New guidance on prescribing of off-label, unapproved or compounded medicines

Summary

AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) has today released new important guidance on prescribing of off-label, unapproved or compounded medicines.

‍

This builds on the National Prescribing Competencies Framework and - with respect to prescribing and dispensing of unapproved medicinal cannabis products - previous guidance issued to registered medicinal practitioners, nurse practitioners and dispensing pharmacists.
