Submission to the Therapeutic Goods Administration consultation

The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration undertook a consultation on the regulation of medicinal cannabis – Reviewing the safety and regulatory oversight of unapproved medicinal cannabis products – which closed on 7 October 2025. Cannabis Council Australia’s submission to this important consultation proposes a new, system-wide framework that puts safety, quality and patient access first – improving accountability, building trust, and giving clinicians and regulators greater confidence in the system.
