Cannabis sales plunge in script crackdown – Sydney Morning Herald

In a widely syndicated article by Angus Thomson covering the release of a report by the Penington Institute of a 28.5 per cent fall in medicinal cannabis sales, the CCA provided the following comment:

A spokesperson for the Cannabis Council of Australia, which represents medicinal cannabis producers, prescribers and pharmacists, said the decline was a sign of the industry maturing after rapid growth. ‘‘Moderation of overall volumes is representative of the sector's focus on clinical governance, patient suitability, and continuity of care,'' they said.
